New Features

As far as the feature changes are concerned, most of the i20 variants have gained some new features. The changes include: –

  • The base-spec Magna trim gets gunmetal finished wheel covers instead of silver.
  • Addition of automatic climate control and cruise control to the 1.0 iMT Sportz trim.
  • The Asta trim now gets an electric sunroof as standard fitment. Earlier, it was limited to its 1.0-litre iMT trim. However, the brand has now replaced its 10.1-inch infotainment system with an 8-inch unit. It also witnesses the deletion of connected car features.
  • The range-topping Asta (O) variant gains some additional voice commands for the Blue Link connected car tech.

Apart from the above-mentioned revisions, the Hyundai i20 remains unchanged. It continues to rival the likes of Honda Jazz, VW Polo, facelifted Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz, and soon-to-be updated Toyota Glanza. In fact, Tata Motors is also gearing up to introduce dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) with the Altroz.
