Hyundai Creta To Soon Get New SX Executive Variant; Details Leaked

India's most popular compact SUV, the Hyundai Creta, is about to get a new SX Executive variant. Revealed by a leaked document, it will be positioned below the existing SX trim and will be cheaper by approximately Rs 78,800 from it's petrol-manual version. For reference, the Hyundai Creta SX petrol-MT currently retails at Rs 13.93 lakh (ex-showroom).

Compared to the SX variant, this new trim will miss out on some prominent features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple Carplay & Android Auto, BlueLink connectivity, chrome door handles, Arkamys music system, driver rear-view monitor, burglar alarm, and voice recognition button. While it won't get any music system, the brand will offer this trim with a factory-fitted Bluetooth mic, steering mounted audio controls, shark-fin antenna, rear-view camera, and USB port. Customers will be given a choice to get the audio system installed as an accessory at the dealership level.

Besides the above-mentioned equipment, the SX Executive is also expected to get features like auto LED headlamps with DRLs, panoramic sunroof, auto climate control with rear AC vents, keyless entry with push-button start/stop function, height-adjustable driver's seat, electric ORVMs with turn indicators, dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounting, ABS with EBD, ESC, parktronic sensor, and more.

Speaking about mechanicals, the Creta SX Executive is likely to be offered solely with the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that belts out 115PS and 144Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It is unlikely to get diesel and turbo-petrol engine options as well as an automatic gearbox.
