Petrol-only Model

  • Like all the other Honda cars, the Elevate will also be a petrol-only model that is expected to share its powertrain with the City sedan.
  • Having said that, the Honda Elevate, in all likelihood, will come with City’s 1.5-litre petrol engine that delivers 121PS/145Nm, and gets a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission choices.
  • In a nod to its competitors, Honda is also rumoured to be considering equipping the Elevate with the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain. This move would bring the Elevate in line with other popular models like the Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder, which already boast this powerful engine option.

Expected Price and Features

  • The Elevate SUV is anticipated to come packed with an array of cutting-edge features, such as wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car technology, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging capabilities, a panoramic sunroof, and up to six airbags for safety.
  • Additionally, the Elevate is also likely to boast Honda’s advanced driver-assistance system, known as the Honda Sensing Suite, which comprises a range of active safety features, such as high-beam assist, auto emergency braking,  adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, cross-traffic alert, etc.
  • Expect Honda to price the Elevate SUV from around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
