Honda Rolls Out 2 Millionth Car In India

Began its India operations in December 1997, Honda Cars India has now manufactured over 2 million passenger vehicles in the country. The fifth-gen Honda City was the 2 millionth unit, rolled out of its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.

Honda states that it has invested over Rs 10,000 crore in our country since setting up its operations in India. Currently, Honda has five models in its India lineup, namely Jazz premium hatchback, WR-V crossover, Amaze sub-4-meter sedan, and 4th & 5th-gen of City mid-size sedans. These are sold through 330 dealership facilities spread over 242 cities across the nation. The Japanese carmaker also exports the City and Amaze to over 16 countries across the globe from our shores.
