Honda CB300R Recalled In India Over Headlamp Issue

Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India has announced a voluntary recall for the CB300R naked street bike over a headlamp-related issue. According to the bike maker, the CB300R manufactured between 2018 and 2020 is affected by this issue. The brand will soon contact the respective owners of the affected units and will work proactively to resolve the issue.

Honda CB300R Recall – What’s The Issue?

Honda informed that this recall is due to the potential issue in the internal PCB structure of the motorcycle’s headlight. Owners might experience headlamp flickering or a complete shut down of the headlamp, which could be caused by the core wires breaking off at the root terminals due to prolonged usage and wire fatigue. This could affect the rider’s safety during nighttime or low-light conditions.

As a precautionary measure, the replacement of the affected part will be carried out at BigWing dealerships across India starting from Sept 2025. The replacement will be done free of cost, irrespective of the warranty status of the vehicle.

Owners can also check if their bike is a part of the recall campaign by entering their VIN on the Honda BigWing website. The Vin Code is actually a 17-digit alphanumeric code, also known as the chassis number or serial number, typically stamped on the right side of the headstock.
