2022 Hero Xtreme 160R – What’s New?

For 2022, Hero MotoCorp has updated its instrument cluster with a gear position indicator. Besides, it also gets a new pillion grabrail and revised single-piece long-seat for enhanced comfort.

Aside from the above-mentioned changes, the Hero Xtreme 160R remains unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the same 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that comes mated to a 5-speed transmission and churns out 15.2PS of max power and 14Nm of peak torque. Underpinnings of the bike comprise the same 37mm telescopic fork and preload-adjustable monoshock, suspended on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Braking duties are taken care of by a 276mm front disc and 130mm drum / 220mm disc brake at the rear, coupled with only a single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

Hero offers the Xtreme 160R in five color options: Sports Red, Vibrant Blue, Pearl Silver White, White & Red 100 million edition ivory, and Stealth Black.

In the Indian market, the Xtreme 160R goes up against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer, and the recently launched Bajaj Pulsar N160.
