In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen many automakers have launched their online sales & service platforms in the last year. Following the trend, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has also introduced its virtual showroom where customers can experience various Hero motorcycles & scooters from every angle using the 360-degree view and augmented reality (AR) along with all design, features, and technical details and buying option. The brand has done its best to make the online experience as realistic as possible.
Customers can access the virtual showroom via Hero MotoCorp’s company website or at https://virtualshowroom.heromotocorp.com. This digital platform allows the prospective buyers to avail all the information related to their preferred model along with the option of online configuration based on the variant, and color. Buyers can also choose their preferred dealership for the vehicle's delivery and other services. To book any Hero model, customers would be required to pay at least Rs 5,000 as a token amount (full payment can also be done) and the rest amount can be made at the selected dealership. The homegrown maker is also providing online finance options and dedicated executive support to help customers in the buying procedure.
Currently, nine Hero bikes and scooters are listed on the virtual showroom. These include Pleasure Plus, Maestro Edge 110, Destini 125, Maestro Edge 125, Passion Pro, Xtreme 160R, Xtreme 200S, and XPulse 200.
Commenting on the initiative, Naveen Chauhan, Head – Sales and Aftersales, Hero MotoCorp, said-
At Hero MotoCorp we are constantly striving to enhance our customer buying experience. Considering the need for social distancing and catering to digitally savvy customers, it is imperative for our services to be present at the customers’ fingertips while providing a holistic experience right from the beginning of their purchase journey. This feature is in line with our commitment to building value-led initiatives. Soon after launching our messaging app-based chatbot services, we are now bringing a Hero showroom straight to the customer's room.
