Hero HF100 – The Most Affordable Hero Commuter Launched, Price Start From Rs 49,400

After increasing the prices of the entire range, the brand has now launched a new entry-level model in its product portfolio, the HF100. Priced at Rs 49,400 (ex-showroom), it's the most affordable Hero bike available in the Indian market, undercutting the HF Deluxe's KS Spoke variant by Rs 1300.

The HF100 will be available in only one variant that will come with alloy wheels and kick start function only. The bike looks quite simple and will only be available in black color with red-&-grey graphics. Though it misses out on all the Deluxe elements of its elder sibling, the powering mill of both the motorcycles are the same. That said, it also draws its power from the 97.2cc air-cooled FI XSens tech-enabled engine that generates 8.36PS of max power at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The motor is paired to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox.

As far as the underpinnings are concerned, the all-new Hero HF100 is based on a tubular double cradle frame, employing telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and 2-step preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle comes to a halt using a 130mm drum at both ends with a standard combined braking system (CBS). There is no front disc brake available even as an option. The other specifications of the bike are as follows: –

Length 1965 mm
Width 720 mm
Height 1045 mm
Saddle Height 805 mm
Wheelbase 1235 mm
Ground Clearance 165 mm
Fuel Tank Capacity 9.1 Litre
Front Tyre 2.75 x 18 – 4PR/42P
Rear Tyre 2.75 x 18 – 6PR/48P
Kerb Weight 110 Kg

In the sub-100cc commuter segment, the Hero HF100 will compete against the Bajaj CT100, which is priced at Rs 44,890 (ex-showroom).
