Hero Destini 110 Launched; Claims 56.2 kmpl Mileage

Hero MotoCorp has launched a new family-oriented scooter, the Destini 110, priced from Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom). The model is essentially a scaled-down version of the Hero Destini 125, which goes up against the TVS Jupiter 110 and Honda Activa. It is offered in two variants: VX (Cast Drum) and ZX (Cast Disc).

ZX (Cast Disc)Aqua Grey, Nexus Blue and Groovy RedRs 79,000

The Destini 110 will be available in a phased manner across Hero dealerships. Comparing pricing, the base VX is priced Rs 2,369 lower than the Honda Activa 110’s base variant, while the top-spec ZX comes in Rs 5,021 cheaper than the Activa DLX.

Hero Destini 110 – Design and Features

The all-new Destini 110 shares its design with the Destini 125, featuring the same neo-retro styling with projector headlamp, H-shaped LED tail lamps, and chrome accents on various parts for a premium appeal. Hero claims it has the longest seat in the segment (785mm).

When it comes to features, the new scooter gets a projector headlamp with DRLs, a semi-digital instrument cluster (without connectivity features), a boot light, an open cubbyhole on the apron, a USB charging port, and a pillion backrest in the ZX variant.

Speaking of the underpinnings, the Destini 110 comes with 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres at both ends, a generous 162mm ground clearance, a telescopic front fork and a single rear shock absorber.

The top-spec ZX trim also gets a 190mm front disc, whereas the rear uses a drum brake on both trims, with a combined braking system as standard.

The 770mm seat height makes the Destini 110 easily accessible, while its 114kg kerb weight should be manageable for most riders. Its fuel tank capacity is rated at 5.3 litres.

Hero Destini 110 Engine Details

At the heart of the Hero Destini 110 is the same 110.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the Xoom 110, which produces 8.15PS of max power and 8.70Nm of peak torque. The engine also benefits from Idle Stop-Start System (i3S tech), which switches off the engine during idling to prevent unnecessary fuel burning.

Hero claims it can return a fuel efficiency of 56.2 kmpl.
