Ford Freestyle Flair Edition Launched At Rs 7.69 Lakhs

Ford has added a new special edition variant in Freestyle crossover's line-up called "Flair". It is based on the top-spec Titanium Plus variant and will come with many cosmetic changes over its standard model. Its introductory prices are as follows:-

The Flair edition costs Rs 30,000 more than the Titanium+ variant.

Ford Freestyle Flair: How it is different from Titanium+ variant?

The Ford Freestyle Flair edition features some esthetical changes both inside and outside. The changes in exterior include black colored roof, black-finished alloy wheels, red-color finishing on roof rails, ORVMs, and on skid plates on both front and rear bumpers.

It also gets new black-&-red body graphics with Flair labeling, located on the lower profile of the doors and boot-lid. All these elements giving it a more sporty and rugged appeal.

Inside, it sports a black dashboard, red contrast stitching on the dual-tone fabric upholstery with the 'Flair' badging on the backrest of front seats.

 It also features red highlights on the door trims and a "flair" scuffs plates.

Color Options

The Freestyle Flair will be available in three colors — White Gold, Diamond White, and Smoke Grey.

What about the features?

The Flair edition gets all the features of its donor Titanium+ variant which mainly includes a 7" touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and Ford Pass connected technology, engine push-button start with keyless entry, auto climate control, manually height-adjustable driver seat, automatic headlamps, auto wipers, electrically adjustable ORVMs, auto Day/Night IRVM, rear wiper and washer, rear defogger, and steering mounted audio and telephony controls.

In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Hill hold control, intelligent Active Rollover Prevention (ARP), traction control, rear parking sensors with camera, front and rear fog lamps, seat belt reminder and speed alert system.

Ford has partnered with JioSaavn, a music streaming platform. All customers who’ll book any variant of the Ford Freestyle before February 2021, will get a complimentary one-year premium subscription to ad-free music on JioSaavn. 

Are there any mechanical changes?

No, all the changes are limited to the esthetical aspect only. Hence, mechanically it remains the same as the standard variants. It is available with both 1.2-liter petrol (95PS/119Nm) and 1.5-liter diesel engine (100PS/215Nm) choices. Both motors offer only a 5-speed manual gearbox. 

With Freestyle, Ford claims a mileage of 18.5 kmpl with petrol and 23.8 kmpl with the diesel engines.

The cosmetic changes done on the Ford Freestyle Flair comes as a pleasant option to some buyers who want to experience the exclusivity of a visually standing out product.
