Facelifted Jaguar XF Launched In India, Prices Start From Rs 71.6 Lakh

Luxury carmaker Jaguar has silently launched the facelifted XF in India at a starting price of Rs 71.60 lakh (ex-showroom). It is now available in a single R-Dynamic trim, thus, discontinuing the older Prestige variant. Along with this, its diesel version has also been reintroduced, which was discontinued last year during the BS6 transition phase.

2021 Jaguar XF Facelift – What's New? 

Being a facelift version, the 2021 Jaguar XF looks more sportier thanks to the revised front mesh grille, flanked by sleeker LED headlights and bigger bumpers with larger air intakes. It also gets larger alloy wheels, tweaked tail lamps, and rear bumper, complementing the overall appearance of the car. 

Moving inside, where the 2021 Jaguar XF now comes with a new & plush-looking dashboard design along with a larger 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other updates comprise a redesigned climate control panel, a new gear-lever replacing the older rotary knob, and a new steering wheel which is inspired by the I-Pace EV.

The automaker has also equipped the new Jaguar XF with in-car Artificial Intelligence technology that comes with a self-learning navigation system and automatically adjusts things according to your preferences. The other notable features of the updated saloon include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration support, a 12-way powered front seats with memory function, 10-colour ambient lighting, heads-up display, panoramic sunroof, Meridian sound system, wireless smartphone charging, cabin air ionisation with PM 2.5 filter (optional), Active Road Noise Cancellation for a quieter in-cabin experience, and driver assistance that comprises features like auto-beam assist, a 360-degree, front & rear parking aid, and cruise control with speed limiter.

Coming to the powertrain options, the automaker offers the 2021 XF with two engines – a new 2.0-litre diesel engine with mild-hybrid technology (203PS/430Nm) and an ongoing 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol (250PS/365Nm). While the former mill can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in 7.6 seconds before attaining a top speed of 235kmph, the gasoline motor takes 6.5 seconds for the same and has a top speed of 250kmph. Both engines drive the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In the luxury sedan segment, the Jaguar XF continues to rival the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Volvo S90.
