Facelifted Audi S5 Sportback Launched At Rs 79.06 Lakh

German carmaker Audi has launched the facelifted version of the S5 Sportback in the Indian market for Rs 79.06 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The updated model gets several design changes inside and out along with a few features’ additions. It will be available as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) in our country.

2021 Audi S5 Sportback facelift – What's New?

Compared to the older model, the new Audi S5 Sportback gets a refreshed front profile with a revised single-frame grille, a new front bumper, and a new Matrix LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs. Besides this, it also gets redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels, reworked LED tail-lamps, and a new rear bumper.

Inside the cabin, the Audi S5 Sportback facelift retains the older dashboard layout. However, the modish touch comes in the form of an updated 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument console and a new 10.1-inch free-standing infotainment system that can be controlled by touch, replacing the older rotary-controlled MMI display. Besides this, it retains most of the features from the pre-facelift model, including three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, powered front sport seats, ambient lighting, Audi drive select, Alcantara leather upholstery, electronic parking brakes, S-SPort steering wheel, S-Sport suspension, and central locking differential, etc.

Further, it also gets optional red-coloured brake callipers, a heads-up display, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, a parking assist system, S Sports Suspension with Damper Control and a black pack for a more sporty appearance.

Color Options

Audi has offered the updated S5 Sportback in a total of 8 colors – Turbo Blue, Metallic Tango Red, Daytona Grey with pearl effect, Quantum Grey, Ibis White, Metallic District Green, and Metallic Navarra Blue.

Powertrain

The heart of the Indian-spec 2021 Audi S5 Sportback is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine that makes out 354bhp of max grunt and 500Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all-4 wheels (in a 40:60 ratio between the front and rear axles) via 8-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. With this, Audi claims a 0-100kmph in simply 4.8 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph.

Globally, the S5 is also available with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine.
