Deliveries Of Skoda Kushaq 1.0 TSI Begin Across India

Deliveries of the Skoda Kushaq's 1.0-litre TSI variants begin across the country, whereas the 1.5-liter TSI variants will be delivered from August 2021. However, bookings for all variants are already underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

Skoda Kushaq Ambition

For those who aren't aware, the Kushaq has been equipped with two engine options: 115PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. Both get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, along with an optional automatic gearbox (a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0-litre unit and a 7-speed dual-clutch unit for a 1.5-litre engine). Also, the bigger displacement engine features a segment-first cylinder deactivation technology that automatically shuts down two cylinders in low load conditions for improved fuel economy. While the fuel efficiency figures of the 1.5-litre engine are yet to be revealed, Skoda claims 17.88kmpl and 15.78kmpl of mileage from the 1.0-litre manual and automatic powertrains respectively.

The Skoda Kushaq is available in three trims: Active, Ambition, and Style. The 1.5-liter engine is limited to the top-spec Style variant only. The brand has received over 2,000 bookings of the SUV so far. Out of which, the mid-spec Ambition automatic variant had the highest number of takers.
