Dark Editions Of Tata Altroz And Nexon Dark Will Launch On July 7, Bookings Open

Tata Motors will launch the Dark Editions of Altroz and Nexon on 7th July 2021. In fact, both models have already started reaching dealerships, and a few of them have also commenced unofficial bookings. Both of them are likely to be based on their respective top-end trims and could command a premium of around Rs 20,000 over the monotone shades’ variants.

Revealed by recently leaked images, the Altroz and Nexon Dark Editions will receive blacked-out treatment both inside and outside for the sportier appearance. Similar to the Tata Harrier Dark Edition, both Nexon and Altroz will don Atlas Black paint scheme along with a dark therapy for the radiator grille, bumpers, fog lamp housing, alloy wheels, and model badging. Both editions will also feature a ‘Dark’ inscription on the front fenders.

The cabin of both cars will also sport an all-black theme with a piano black finish for the center applique. 

Apart from the distinguish hues, no changes will be made to their mechanicals and feature list. The Altroz will continue to be powered by the same 86PS 1.2-liter petrol, 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and 90PS 1.5-liter diesel engines as its regular model. On the other hand, the Nexon gets 120PS 1.2-liter turbo-petrol and 110PS 1.5-liter diesel engines. While the Nexon sub-compact SUV comes with both 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox options, the Altroz premium hatchback only gets a 5-speed manual unit as standard across all variants.

Currently, the Tata Altroz is priced between Rs 5.80 lakh and Rs 9.56 lakh, while the Nexon will set you back by Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 12.96 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
