Citroen Sets Up Its First Showroom In Ahmedabad

The French carmaker Citroen has set up its first showroom in India, located in Ahmedabad (Gujrat). The facility spans over 4,000 sq. ft. and will cater to both sales and after-sales services. It has been designed as per the brand's global “La Maison Citroen” showroom concept, which means 'Home of Citroen'.

Debuted in 2017, this showroom concept strives to intensify the buying experience by providing a comfortable ambience, as well as 3D digital tools to configure their vehicles. As of now, Citroën has no cars on sale in India, therefore Citroen will display its vintage models to showcase the brand’s legacy. 

Speaking on the debut of the concept in India, Roland Bouchara, Senior VP, Sales and Marketing, Citroen India said- 

The showroom will have numerous screens, debuting the ATAWADAC (AnyTime AnyWhere AnyDevice AnyContent) and Phygital ecosystems in India, allowing customers to explore and sample the Citroen brand, products and services seamlessly. This includes not just the cars but also merchandise as well as vehicle customisation. “La Maison Citroën” is a global retail concept that has gained much repute and praise from happy Citroën customers worldwide.

For the people not in know, the C5 Aircross SUV will be Citroën's debut car in India. It is scheduled to go on sale by March 2021, but ahead of the launch, Citroen will unveil it on 1st February 2021. By the time of C5 Aircross's launch, Citroën projects to extend the La Maison Citroën dealership network to 9 more cities including Delhi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru.

The Citroën C5 Aircross will be a mid-sized premium SUV. It is expected to be a diesel-only offering with prices starting from around Rs 28-30 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it will be positioned against the likes of the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan.
