BYD launched the Seal electric sedan earlier this month as the carmaker’s third EV in India after the e6 MPV and Atto 3 SUV. Surpassing expectations, the BYD Seal EV has already garnered over 500 bookings within just 15 days since its launch. It is priced from Rs 41 lakh to Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom).
BYD offers the Seal in three variant options – Dynamic Range, Premium Range and Performance. Each variant comes with a different powertrain. Here are the details: –

The Seal features BYD’s Blade Battery technology, known for its exceptional energy density, advanced safety measures, and extended lifespan. It also boasts rapid charging capabilities of up to 150kW, which allows it to reach a 10-80 per cent charge in a mere 37 minutes. In contrast, utilising a standard 11kW AC charger requires approximately 8.6 hours to fully charge the battery from 0 to 100 per cent.
