The T-Roc was powered by the same 1.5-liter TSI turbocharged petrol engine (150PS/250Nm) as the Taigun that features ACT (active cylinder technology) which shuts down two of four cylinders in light load conditions to improve fuel efficiency. The engine was mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). It can sprint from a standstill to 100kmph in just 8.4 seconds before clocking the top speed of 205kmph.

Features onboard include LED headlamps with DRLs, front fog lamp with cornering function, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, driver side convex exterior mirror, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, dual-zone climate control, a fully digital instrument panel, ambient lighting, drawers under front seats, paddle shifters, heat-insulating windshield & windows, etc. Safety was covered by six airbags, lane-keep assist, front collision alert, ABS, anti-skid regulation, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), MSR (Motor Slip Regulation), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), front & rear parking sensors, and many more.
