Bookings Open For Honda Elevate SUV; Launch Likely In September

Honda has commenced bookings for the new Elevate SUV at Rs 21,000. Its launch is expected to take place in September this year. However, it is expected to reach showrooms in early July, while the test drives are likely to begin in August.

So if you’re also planning to buy the Honda Elevate, here’s a quick rundown of everything it has to offer: –

  • Honda will offer the Elevate with City’s 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine that makes out 121PS of max power and 145Nm of peak torque. The brand will also introduce it in an all-electric avatar by 2026.
  • It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic transmission.

  • Built on the Global Small Car platform, the Elevate showcases an upright front fascia characterized by a sizable rectangular grille, squared-off wheel arches, and sleek, clean lines. The SUV is adorned with stylish LED headlamps at the front, complemented by L-shaped LED tail lights at the rear, while its appearance is further enhanced by dual-tone alloy wheels.
  • Built on the Global Small Car platform, the Elevate showcases an upright front fascia with a gigantic rectangular grille up front, flanked by sleek LED headlamps. The other notable design elements include dual-tone alloy wheels, squared-off wheel arches, uncluttered character lines, and L-shaped LED tail lamps.
  • Against the measuring tape, it measures 4312mm in length, 1790mm in width, and 1650mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2650mm and a cargo space of 458 litres.
  • When it comes to features, the SUV gets a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, connected car tech, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, auto AC, rear AC vents, six airbags, ESC, lane watch camera and Honda Sensing ADAS suite. The latter includes advanced safety features like a lane departure warning, road departure warning, collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic high beam assist.
  • Expect Honda to price the Elevate from around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Once launched, it will face competition from the Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara and soon-to-be-upgraded Kia Seltos.
