We all know that Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is making a comeback in an all-new avatar. Interested customers can now make their bookings online for a token amount of Rs 11,000 or at authorized Arena dealerships. It will be sold alongside the existing Alto 800.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be based on the S-Presso’s Heartect platform and will be bigger than the current Alto 800. It will be powered by the brand’s K10C DualJet 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine (67PS/89Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual or an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
Design-wise, the new Alto K10 will borrow its desing-cues from the Celerio hatch, especially at the rear, featuring a curvy tailgate and wraparound tail lamps. However, the front will be largely dominated by a hexagonal mesh pattern grille.
Inside, the entry-level hatch will get a 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a digitized instrument cluster, manual AC, all-four power windows, day/night IRVM, dual front airbags, and rear parking sensors. Its AMT variants could also receive hill hold assist along with electronic stability control for added safety.
Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Alto K10 on August 18. It is expected to be sold in 4 broad trims: Std, LXi, VXi, and VXi+, with each variant getting an optional (O) sub-variant. Expect its prices to start from around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom).
