BMW G 310 R & G 310 GS Prices Increased By Up To Rs 5,000

BMW Motorrad has increased the prices of its most affordable G Twin motorcycles. It's the first price hike since their BS6 models have been launched in India. Here are the latest prices of both bikes:-

BMW G 310 GS

As the above table indicates, the pricing of Bavarian twins has been bumped by Rs 5,000, which is quite marginal. BMW hasn't given any reason for the hike, but most probably it is a consequence of the rising input costs of manufacturing.

For the people not in know, both G 310 R and G 310 GS had received a huge price cut of up to Rs 64,000 during the BS4 to BS6 transition. Compared to older BS4 pricing, they are still more affordable by Rs 49,000 and Rs 59,000 respectively.

It is important to note that no mechanical or cosmetic changes have been made to justify the price hike. The features list of both bikes is also unchanged. The notable features of both motorcycles include an all-LED headlamp with LED DRLs, low rpm assist function to crawl through the traffic, ride-by-wire (for better fueling and crisper throttle response), slip-and-assist clutch (for lighter clutch action), adjustable brake & clutch levers, and GTT (Glide Through Traffic), etc.

Mechanically, both bikes use a BS6 compliant, 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 34PS at 9,500rpm and 28Nm at 7,500rpm. The motor comes paired with a 6-speed transmission.

As far as the suspension & braking systems are concerned, both G 310 R and G 310 GS come equipped with golden USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. However, their suspension travel differs from each other. A 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS bring the bikes to halt.

In the Indian market, the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS rival the likes of KTM 390 Duke (Rs 2.70 lakh) & KTM 390 Adventure (Rs 3.10 lakh). Both these Austrian offerings are very expensive than the Bavarian twins.
