BMW has launched the 5 Series Carbon Edition in India at Rs 66.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the 530i M Sport trim, it carries a premium of Rs 3 lakh over the standard trim. For this added premium, it gets a host of cosmetical updates.

As the name suggests, the Carbon Edition gets an exclusive exterior carbon package and bespoke interior upholstery. The kidney grille, ORVMs, and front attachments and splitters of the car are finished in dark black carbon fibre. The 18-inch alloy wheels have also received jet black treatment for added appeal. At the rear, it gains a new carbon fibre spoiler, complementing the overall appearance.
BMW has offered the 530i M Sport Carbon Edition in the Alpine White exterior colour.
Inside, it boasts the new perforated Sensatec trim in Cognac/Black colour blend with contrast stitching. Besides, everything is identical to the standard 5 Series. Features highlights of the 530i M Sport Carbon Edition includes Sports seats, an M leather steering wheel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, gesture control, BMW virtual assistant, four-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, powered seats, ambient lighting, remote-control parking, reversing assistant, etc. It also gets five driving modes (Sport, Sport+, Comfort, ECO PRO and Adaptive), adaptive suspension, launch control and cruise control with braking function.
The 530i M Sport Carbon Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine as its donor variant that makes out 249PS at 5,200rpm and 350Nm at 1,450-4,800rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and claims to sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.1 seconds.
