BMW 3 Series GT Shadow Edition Launched In India, Priced At Rs 42.50 Lakh

BMW has launched a new Shadow Edition of 3 Series GT in India at Rs 42.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on 330i M Sport variant. Buyers can also customize and book this car from BMW's latest online retail platform.

BMW 3 Series GT Shadow is a limited edition, i.e. it will be sold in limited numbers. However, the specific quantity is not revealed by Bavarian Motor.

How it is different from the standard model?

To distinguish the new Shadow edition from its standard model, the company has given it a black color treatment. It gets a glossy black color finishing on the front kidney grille. The dual exhaust tailpipes, ORVMs and M alloy wheels are also finished in black. The housing of headlamps and taillamps are also blacked-out to give it a more elegant appearance. 

Additionally, it houses a M badging on the front fenders and gets an M aerodynamics package, which comprises both the front & rear apron, and side skirts finished in ‘Dark Shadow Metallic’ paint.

Inside the cabin, it highlights an M sports leather steering wheel, M badging on the aluminium door sill plates, M logo on the key fob.

Features

In terms of features, it sports an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity, 9-speaker premium sound system, dual-zone climate control, power adjustable front seats with memory functions, panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting and an active rear spoiler. It also gets four driving modes: Comfort, Ecopro, Sport and Sport+.

On the safety front it gets 6 airbags, ABS, brake assist (BA), tire-pressure monitoring system, ront and rear parking sensors, cornering brake control, dynamic stability control, and a rear camera. 

Color Options

The 3 Series Shadow Edition is available in four paint schemes – Alpine White, Melbourne Red Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic and Estoril Blue Metallic.

Powertrain

The BMW 3 Series GT Shadow Edition is powerd by the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 252PS/350Nm of maximum outout. This engine comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic torque-converter automatic gearbox. 

Acceleration

It can reach 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 250kmph.

Mileage

The 3 Series GT Shadow Edition has a claimed mileage of 13.95kmpl.

It will be the last BMW 3 Series GT

BMW will soon discontinue the 3 Series GT in India. In its replacement, the company will launch the 3 Series LWB (longwheel base) model by the next-year.
