Bharat Petroleum Starts Doorstep Delivery Of Diesel In Delhi

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has commenced doorstep delivery of diesel in the national capital Delhi for customers requiring fuel as low as 20 liters. For this, BPCL has partnered with Humsafar India, which is a Delhi-based start-up for doorstep diesel delivery. The service is called 'Safar20'.

Safar20 strives to ensure a trouble-free supply of the fuel directly to end-users and also avoid unnecessary fuel spillage, unsafe handling, and/or pilferage. It uses a 20-liter plastic can (jerry cans) for supplying the fuel. Each jerry can is PESO approved and gets a seven-wire seal with a unique number. Hence, no adulteration and pilferage in between transportation can exist.

Commencing of the doorstep diesel delivery services in Delhi, Nishit Goel Founder – Director of Humsafar India, said: –

Doorstep diesel delivery is approved by the government and is a new-age concept of effective distribution of diesel. It allows fuel start-ups to maintain quality and create availability of fuel for the consumers. Earlier, the consumers of diesel had to procure it from retail outlets in barrels which used to cause a lot of spillage and dead mileage in energy procurement. Efficient energy distribution infrastructure was lacking. Doorstep diesel delivery will also solve many such problems and will provide diesel to bulk consumers in a legal manner. Furthermore, we have leveraged technology optimally to create a user-friendly app, by the name of Fuel Humsafar, that allows easy ordering and tracking of the invaluable fuel.

As of now, five BPCL fuel pumps in different parts of Delhi have started this service. They will provide diesel to housing societies, hospitals, malls, banks, construction sites, mobile towers, farmers, educational institutes, and small industries.

Humsafar India is currently providing doorstep delivery services of diesel in various regions of the country, including Assam, Kerala, Gujarat, Goa, Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Noida, Delhi, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad.
