Bajaj Chetak C25 Launched With Claimed 113km Range

Bajaj Auto has expanded its Chetak electric scooter lineup with the introduction of the new Chetak C25, priced at Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom). With this, it has become the most affordable model under the Chetak subsidiary.

Its bookings are now underway, while deliveries are expected to commence soon.

What Powers The Bajaj Chetak C25

  • The Chetak C25 features a floorboard-mounted 2.5 kWh NMC battery pack, which claims a range of 113 km, paired with a 750W off-board unit that takes around 2 hours 25 minutes for a 0-80% charging, while a full charge takes nearly 4 hours.
  • For propulsion duties, it utilises a hub-mounted motor, which produces a peak power output of 2.2kW and a nominal output of 1.8kW. It has a top speed of 55 kmph.

Underpinnings

  • Tipping the scale at 107kg, the Chetak C25 gets a telescopic fork in the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
  • Anchoring duties are handled by a front disc and a rear drum brake.
  • It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels shod with 80-section tyres at both ends.
  • It has an easily accessible seat height of 763mm, an adequate ground clearance of 170mm, and a practical 25 litres of underseat storage space.

Design, Features and Colour Options

  • The Chetak C25 carries forward the familiar retro-inspired design of the other Chetak models, with full metal body panels.
  • Regarding amenities, it comes equipped with an all-LED lighting system with follow-me-home function, two riding modes (Eco, Sport), reverse assist, hill-hold assist, a USB charging port, and a coloured LCD instrument cluster, along with an optional call & music control features via the TecPac, priced at Rs 3,000.
  • Bajaj has offered it in six colour options: Ocean Teal, Active Black, Racing Red, Misty Yellow, Opalescent Silver and Classic White.

The new Chetak C25 is pitted against the likes of TVS Orbiter, Ather Rizta, Hero Vida VX2, Ola S1 X, Honda QC1, and base-spec TVS iQube.
