Audi A8 L Finally Goes On Sale At Rs 1.29 Crore

Globally debuted last year, the German automaker Audi has finally launched the revised A8 L luxurious saloon in India at a starting price of Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom). Its bookings are already underway both online and across authorized Audi dealerships for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh.

2022 Audi A8 L – What’s New?

Audi has given the 4th-generation A8 L flagship sedan a midlife update. And so, it has welcomed some ample cosmetic changes in and out and a few additional features as well.

Exterior

Starting with the outer design, the new Audi A8 has got a new & sharper-looking front grille with studded chrome finish instead of the horizontal chrome slats. Additionally, the front bumper has been redesigned with more upright air intakes and chrome fog lamp surrounds. It also accumulates digital Matrix LED headlamps as well as new digital OLED tail lamps.

Interior

While the interior layout of the new Audi A8 L remains the same as its pre-facelift model, it has gained a few new features such as a full TFT virtual cockpit instrument cluster, new MIB 3 software for the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.6-inch touch-controlled panel for controlling various car functions and an optional colored heads-up display (HUD).

The brand is also offering various personalization options for the new Audi A8 L, including the Rear Relaxation package that features reclining seats, foot massager, etc.

Engine and Transmission Options

The new A8 L will continue to be available with the 340PS/540Nm 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine, mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox, Quattro all-wheel-drive, and mild-hybrid technology. Globally, it also comes with 4.0-liter V8 TFSI petrol and a TFSI e plug-in hybrid powertrain.
