More Dope On The Upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki’s Creta-rivaling SUV is all set to make its debut on July 20. And as its unveiling date approaches, more details about the upcoming utility vehicle are emerging.

Maruti Grand Vitara Front Design Teased

It was already confirmed that the Hyryder-based Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will sport visual distinction from the Toyota SUV, and the latest teaser confirms the same. In fact, its front facia seems primarily inspired by the new-generation S-Cross, featuring a large piano black grille with a honeycomb-like pattern and a chrome slat flanked by stouter Nexa’s latest LED DRLs that debuted with the Baleno facelift. The main headlamp setup has been positioned on the bumper.

Featuring upward-sloping beltline, a raked roofline, alloy wheels (probably of 17-inches), and prominent blacked-out body cladding all over, the Grand Vitara presents an upright and bolder appearance. At the back, it has LED tail lamps, connected by a thin LED light bar.

While the interior of the car is yet to be revealed, it is expected to be more or less the same as Toyota Hyryder, save for the interior color scheme. For passenger’s comfort, convenience and safety, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be packed with features such as dual-zone climate control, a digitized display, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, wireless smartphone charger, rear AC vents, connected car tech, cruise control, leather upholstery, 360-degree camera, up to 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system and much more.

Underneath the bonnet, the upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara is likely to come with two engine options: a 1.5-liter petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a Toyota-sourced 1.5-litre TNGA petrol with a self-charging strong hybrid system. Here’s a look at their specifications: –
