All-Electric Mercedes-Benz CLA Revealed In India; Claims 792 Km Range

The all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA with EQ Technology has finally made it to our shores. This entry-level electric sedan will be offered in a single ‘250+’ variant, which claims a driving range of 792 kilometres on a single charge.

Numbers That Actually Matter

For the Indian-spec CLA 250+, you will get a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive setup, rated at 272PS and 335Nm. That’s good enough to hit the century sprint from standstill in just 6.7 seconds before attaining an electronically limited top speed of 210 kmph. This is mated to a unique 2-speed automatic transmission for better efficiency at higher speeds.

Battery-wise, the electrified CLA uses an 85 kWh NMC battery, and thanks to its 800V architecture, it supports up to 240kW DC fast charging, which can add up to 400km of range in just 20 minutes.
