Kia Sorento Design and Specifications Revealed Officially, Launch on Sept 4

Kia India has officially revealed the Indian-spec Sorento SUV ahead of its launch on September 4, 2026. It will be the brand’s first model in India to get a strong-hybrid powertrain, paired with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. A diesel powertrain will also be on the list. Kia has also commenced production of the Sorento at the Anantapur facility.

Here’s a look at the five highlights of the upcoming Kia Sorento that you need to know ahead of its arrival: –

1. Modern Design

The Sorento’s headline styling cues are Kia’s latest ‘Opposites United’ design language, featuring a more rectangular Tiger Nose grille slotted on the upright front end. It is flanked by the large vertically oriented LED headlamps with Y-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The bumper features a wide split air-intake setup with LED fog lamps present in it.

Riding on dual-tone alloy wheels, the SUV features a satin-finished trim on the front fenders, along with chrome window-line surrounds that taper towards the rear.

Around the back, the squarish LED taillamps with an inverted L-shaped LED signature, along with a sculpted tailgate and a prominent roof spoiler, provide it a modern look.

The Sorento features an uncluttered dashboard layout wrapped in soft, plush leatherette upholstery. The ambient lighting spans the width of the dashboard to enhance the overall vibe. It is offered with captain’s seats in the 2nd row that add to its premium appeal and overall comfort & convenience. Parts of the feature kit are –
