Tata Motors has reported a strong performance in May 2026, with its passenger vehicle (PV) devision registering an impressive 42 percent year-on-year surge in total sale volumes, with overall sales reaching 59,790 units compared to 42,040 units during the same month last year.
Within the domestic market, PV wholesales also increased 42% to 59,090 units from 41,557 units in May 2025. The company’s exports witnessed a 45% growth, climbing to 700 units from 483 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
The automaker’s electric vehicle division, including figures from its subsidiary Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, witnessed strong growth during the month. Total EV sales across domestic and export markets surged by 85% to reach a record 10,517 units, compared to 5,685 units in May 2025.
