Citroen C3 and Aircross X Gets New Variants

Citroen India has launched new variants for the C3 hatchback and Aircross SUV. While the C3 gets a new Live (O) trim, the Aircross’s top-spec Max Turbo variant has now been updated with a 5-seater configuration. Notably, both of these variants will follow a booking-led production approach, ie, they will be manufactured only after confirmed bookings from the customers.

What’s New In These Variants?

Citroen C3

As is clear from its name, the new Citroen C3 Live (O) trim is positioned as a more feature rich offering of the standard Live variant. It bundles a host of additional features, including leatherette seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear view camera, fog lamps, full wheel covers and body side cladding with chrome inserts.

The variant is offered exclusively in Perla Nera Black exterior paint.

Aircross X Max Turbo 5-seater

Earlier, the 5-seater layout was earlier limited to the lower-spec You and Plus variants. This configuration has now been extended to the top-spec Max variant as well. As a result, customers can now enjoy better knee room and a more usable boot space, without comprisionig on amenities. And interestingly, the Max variant now gets added comfort & convenience features such as a rear centre armrest with integrated cupholders and a 3-step seat recline function, enhancing overall rear seat comfort, especially on long journeys.

Citroen has offered the Aircross Max Turbo 5-seater in three monotone shades: Polar White, Deep Forest Green and Perla Nera Black. On the other hand, its 7-seater version can also be had in Cosmo Blue, Garnet Red, Steel Grey and Polar White hues as well.

Competition Check

The Citroen C3 is pitted against the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter and select variants of Maruti Fronx. On the other hand, the Aircross can be seen as an affordable alternative to the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra and recently unveiled Skoda Kushaq facelift.
