Nissan’s Upcoming MPV To Be Called “GRAVITE”, Debut In Jan 2026

Nissan India has officially confirmed that its upcoming compact, 7-seater MPV will be called “Gravite”. This model is part of the brand’s renewed product offensive, under which two more new models – the Tekton and an 7-seater SUV, will be launched in India. It will be officially revealed in January 2026, followed by price announcement in March 2026.

Nissan Gravite Exterior Design

  • Going by the teasers, the Gravite will share its silhouette and proportions with the Triber. However, it will boasts a completely distinctive design.
  • Starting with the front, the MPV will boasts a honeycomb mesh grille with Nissan logo at the centre and a prominent “GRAVITE” badge on the bonnet. Similar badging can also be seen on the lower end of the tailgate.
  • We can also see the pronounced creases on the bonnet giving the MPV a muscular and SUV-inspired stance.
  • Rear features a wraparound LED taillights connected by a chrome bar giving it a premium feel.
  • Bumpers at both ends have C-shaped inserts finished in contrasting silver finish.

Platform and Engine Options

The Gravite will be based on the same CMF-A+ platform as the Renault Triber and likely to share its powertrain options with the Magnite SUV.

For reference, the Magnite comes with 1-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated and 1-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine options. While the N.A. engine also powers the Triber, the turbocharged has been long anticipated for the MPV, and we expect Nissan to finally address this demand with the new Gravite.
