VinFast VF6 Electric SUV Launched At Rs 16.49 Lakh

VinFast, Vietnam’s largest automotive manufacturer, has begun its journey in India with two electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7. Both of these electric SUVs will be locally assembled at their new production facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Their bookings are already underway for a token amount of Rs 21,000.

VinFast VF6Exterior Design

The VF6 looks elegant thanks to its clean body lines. It has an athletic silhouette, complemented by modern design elements like projector LED headlamps mounted on either side of the bumper and sleek eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs featuring a VinFast logo in the centre. Rolling on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, the VF6 features thick body cladding on the lower portion of the EV, giving it a rugged look.

Towards the rear, it boasts connected LED taillights, a well-integrated spoiler, and a chunky bumper.

The India-spec Vinfast VF6 will be available in six body chades: Infinity Blanc, Crimson Red, Urban Mint, Jet Black, Desat Silver, and Zenith Grey.

VinFast VF6: Interior Design and Features

The VF6 has a minimalistic but tech-oriented dashboard layout. The cabin feels premium with soft-touch materials used across the dashboard and door pads. It comes with a 3-spoke steering wheel, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an 8-speaker audio setup. Instead of a traditional driver’s display, it uses a coloured head-up display (HUD) for instrumentation, giving the dashboard a neat and clutter-free look.

VinFast VF6: Battery, Specifications and Range

The VF6 comes equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery pack, powering a 204PS/310Nm front axle-mounted (FWD) electric motor. This enabled the EV to complete the century sprint in just 8.89 seconds.

VinFast VF6: Warranty

The VF6 comes with a 7-year/2 lakh km warranty, while its battery pack is covered by a longer 10-year/2 lakh km warranty.
