Tata Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh Onwers Now Can Get Lifetime Battery Warranty

Tata Motors has introduced a lifetime battery warranty for the Curvv EV and Nexon EV’s 45 kWh variant. This scheme was introduced with the recently launched Harrier EV and addresses uncertainty around long-term battery health and replacement costs.

  • The new lifetime battery warranty will be valid for 15 years from the car’s first registration and covers unlimited kilometres.
  • The Curvv is available with two battery pack options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh, and the warranty scheme is valid for both packs.
  • The Nexon EV also comes with two battery pack choices: 30 kWh and 45 kWh. However, this scheme is being offered only for the bigger battery pack.
  • The scheme applies to both new first-time and existing owners of the aforementioned models.
  • It is worth noting that this scheme is available only to private buyers. Vehicles used for commercial purposes are not eligible under this scheme.
  • To remain eligible under the lifetime warranty scheme, the vehicle must be serviced at authorised Tata service centres and follow the recommended service schedule.
  • The battery should also be free from any physical damage or tampering.
  • If it requires any repair or replacement, Tata will restore the battery to at least 80 per cent of its original capacity or to its pre-repair condition, whichever is higher.

The Tata Curvv EV is currently priced between Rs 17.49 lakh – Rs 22.24 lakh, whereas the Tata Nexon EV 45 range is priced from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 17.19 lakh (all prices ex-showroom India).
