Mahindra Thar Roxx AX7L Now Gets Dolby Atmos Sound Setup

Mahindra has updated the sound system in the Thar Roxx AX7L variant by integrating a 4-channel Dolby Atmos audio setup into its 9-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, aiming to elevate the in-car entertainment experience. Notably, the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e already benefit from this feature.

The Indian SUVmaker has also increased the Thar Roxxโ€™s production to reduce the high waiting periods. Having said that, interested buyers will now have to wait up to 6 months to get their hands on the new Thar Roxx.

Thar ROXX | Now With an Immersive Dolby Atmos Experience

Mr. Velusamy R, President โ€“ Automotive Technology & Product Development, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, โ€œAt Mahindra, it is our constant endeavour to explore limitless boundaries in automotive innovation, and the Thar ROXX is a testament to that spirit. By being the first vehicle in the world to feature Dolby Atmos featuring 4 channels of immersive audio integrated into the premium 9-speaker Harman Kardon Branded Audio system, we are redefining the driving experience. No matter the terrain or conditions, the Thar ROXX delivers a sensory experience like no other SUV of its kind on the Indian roads, bringing every moment on the road to life with Dolby Atmos.โ€

Other Key Features

Aside from the upgraded sound system, the Thar Roxx remains unchanged. It continues to get amenities like automatic LED headlamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, a floating touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, digital driverโ€™s display, auto AC, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, leather seats, six airbags, TPMS, 360-degree camera, and level-2 ADAS suite.

Powering it is either a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, depending on the variant.

Currently, the Thar Roxx is priced between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 23.39 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
