Top In-Demand Car Features in India: Hyundai Reveals What Buyers Want in 2025

Hyundai Motor India has shared some interesting insights about its recent sales trends, showing what customers in India prefer. The data reveals a strong shift towards SUVs and premium features, with two out of every three Hyundai cars sold being an SUV. Additionally, over half of Hyundai buyers are now opting for sunroof-equipped variants, highlighting increasing demand for style, comfort and a premium driving experience across segments. Here are more details: –

  • To start with, more than half of Hyundai’s customers (53.2%) chose car variants that come with a sunroof. In fact, 12 out of the 14 Hyundai models available in India now offer a sunroof as an option. Only the Grand i10 Nios and Aura skip this feature.
  • Hyundai has also witnessed a rise in the demand for its SUVs, with 68.5% of total sales coming from urban SUV models like Venue, Exter, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson and Ioniq 5. This is a notable jump from 63.2% last year, showing that SUVs continue to be the top choice for many buyers. In fact, the Hyundai Creta was the best-selling mid-size SUV in the country in the last financial year.
  • Safety technologies are also gaining popularity among Hyundai buyers. As per the data, nearly 14.3% of all Hyundai cars sold came with an ADAS suite. This figure is more than double compared to last year’s 6.7%. Currently, Hyundai offers ADAS features in nine of its models sold in India.
