Mahindra Delivers Over 3,000 BE 6 and XEV 9e EVs Since Launch

In late March 2025, Mahindra began deliveries of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, and so far, the Indian carmaker has handed over 3,000 units of these born-electric vehicles to customers. Reservations opened on February 14, and the brand received an immense response from the market, securing 30,179 bookings on the very first day.

  • Mahindra successfully delivered more than 3000 units of its all-electric Origin SUVs—XEV 9e and BE 6—since March 20, 2025.
  • A majority of customers are opting for the fully-loaded Pack Three variant.

Mahindra stated that they continue to witness strong booking momentum, with most customers opting for the fully loaded Pack 3 variants. Current booking trends indicate 59% demand for the XEV 9e and 41% for the BE 6. With this overwhelming response from customers, the current waiting period extends up to 6 months, depending on the model and area. However, Mahindra is actively scaling up production to lower the wait time.

Mahindra XEV 9e Pack 3 bookings and deliveries

For those unaware, the BE 6 and XEV 9e are born electric vehicles, built on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO architecture. Both these models come with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh, powering a rear axle-mounted motor. Here’s a look at their specifications: –

The vehicles are equipped with Mahindra’s in-house artificial intelligence platform – MAIA, an augmented-reality heads-up display (HUD), a 16-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, a wide triple-screen setup in the XEV 9e and dual connected displays in the BE 6e, panoramic glassroof, ambient lighting, multiple airbags, drive modes, level-2 ADAS, and much more. As of now, the Mahindra BE 6 is priced between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the XEV 9e retails between Rs 21.9 lakh and Rs 30.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Depending on the model, they face competition from the likes of the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e-Vitara, and the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.
