Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Icon Edition Launched In India

In a collaboration with Icon Motosport, Royal Enfiled has launched a limited-edition version of the Shotgun 650 motorcycle in India called the Icon Edition. Priced at Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom), only 25 units of this special edition model will be sold in India (100 units worldwide).

Registration to buy this special edition has already been started. Once registered, the customer will receive a unique code, which will serve as a key to access the sale, which will kick off on February 12, 2025, at 3 PM.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Icon Edition โ€“ Whatโ€™s Special?

Compared to the regular model, the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Icon Edition boasts a few cosmetic enhancements that give the bike a refreshed and youthful appeal. To start with, the bike features a unique triple-tone colour scheme, inspired by the Icon custom-built Shotgun 650 displayed at EICMA 2024. Having said that, it features a bold and retro-inspired livery with a white fuel tank accented by red, teal and orange strips, giving it a sporty yet vintage look.

The side panels showcase the number โ€œ24โ€œ in yellow, adding a race-inspired touch. Furthermore, the blacked-out engine and exhaust contrast sharply with the golden alloys and blue-coloured rear shock absorbers, enhancing its sporty and rugged aesthetic.

No Mechanical Changes

Powering the Shotgun 650 Icon Edition is the same 648cc, air-oil cooled, SOHC parallel-twin engine as the regular model, producing 46PS of max power and 52Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Underpinnings and Features

The Shotgun 650 rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, suspended on a Showa inverted fork up front (120mm travel) and Showa twin shock absorbers (90mm travel) at the rear. Anchoring duties are taken care of by a 320mm twin-piston floating disc at the front while the rear gets a 300mm twin-piston disc, assisted by dual-channel Antilock Braking System. The bike has an accessible seat height of 795mm and a ground clearance of 140mm. It weighs around 240kg.

In terms of features, the bike gets an all-LED lighting system, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a tripper navigation pod, and a USB charging socket.
