Isuzu Launches D-Max Ambulance In India With Type C Specifications

Isuzu Motors India has launched the D-Max-based Ambulance in India at Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom). Fully built to AIS-125 type C specifications, it essentially comes in the basic life support ambulance category.

Isuzu D-Max Ambulance is the brandโ€™s RZ4E 1.9-litre engine which belts out 167PS of max power at 3600 rpm and 360Nm of peak torque at 2000-2500 rpm, resulting in quick acceleration for rapid response during the โ€œGolden Hour.โ€ It is based on the brandโ€™s robust iGRIP platform which is known for its excellent maneuverability, stability, and comfort.

The brand has also loaded with the D-Max Ambulance with tons of safety features, including traction control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill descent control, and advanced braking systems. The ergonomic front cabin and a well-designed, fully equipped patient compartment ensure smooth and safe patient transport.

It also comes equipped with mandatory warning lights, flashers, sirens, side lights and a PA system along with the high visibility stickers on the vehicle body. Care has been taken in making it durable and interiors hygienic, and rust-free with PUF-insulated GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) body panels.

The rear body is spacious, with fixed glass windows on the doors and sliding ones on the sides. Wide rear doors open fully for easy access, allowing quick stretcher handling via the built-in ramp. The interior is finished in white, well-lit with LED lights, and designed for comfortable seating. Emergency responders can administer medical care efficiently, with storage units placed within easy reach. A sliding window with a privacy curtain connects to the driverโ€™s cabin. The patient compartment includes external oxygen cylinder storage and a complete oxygen delivery system as per AIS-125 specs.
