The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has received a disappointing 1-star safety rating in the latest Global NCAP crash tests. The vehicle tested is sold in South Africa but made in India. Back in 2019, the Ertiga earned a three-star rating. However, with the introduction of more rigorous protocols in July 2022, the 2024 model fell short in the updated evaluations.

- Footwell Area: Rated as โunstable.โ
- Bodyshell: Assessed as โunstable,โ indicating it cannot withstand additional loadings.
Side Impact Test
- Head, Abdomen, and Pelvis Protection: Rated as โgood.โ
- Chest Protection: Rated as โadequate.โ
- Side Pole Impact Test: Not conducted due to the absence of curtain airbags, even as an option.
