Maruti Ignis Radiance Edition Launched At Rs 5.49 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki Ignis has received a new special edition model called the Radiance Edition. Similar to the recently launched Brezza Urbano Edition, it is essentially an accessorised version of the Ignis, available with all hatch variants except the Delta variant.

Maruti Ignis Radiance Edition – What’s New?

The Radiance Edition offers cosmetic upgrades to enhance the Maruti Ignis’ styling and improve practicality. The changes include: –

  • Wheel covers, door visors and chrome elements for the base-spec Ignis Sigma variant. It has been priced at Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 35,000 more affordable than the standard model’s Sigma trim. If purchased individually, the total cost of all these items would be Rs 5320.
  • The Zeta and Alpha variants get seat covers, cushions, door visors and door cladding. If picking individually, all items would cost Rs 11,970.

Features Onboard

Aside from the above-mentioned additions, this Suzuki Whizzkid-inspired hatchback remains unchanged. It continues to get features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, auto AC, height-adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.

What’s Underneath The Hood?

Powering the Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder VVT petrol engine that makes 83PS of max power and 113Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT unit. It claims a mileage of 20.89 kmpl.

Rivals

In the compact hatchback segment, the Maruti Ignis locks horns with the Citroen C3, Tata Punch and Tata Tiago.
