Mercedes-Benz EQA Launched In India At Rs 66 Lakh

In order to expand its electric portfolio in the Indian market, Mercedes Benz has launched the EQA crossover in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 66 lakh (ex-showroom), it is Mercedes’ most affordable EV in the country. The brand has offered it in a single fully-loaded variant called “250+”.

Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+: Battery, Power and Range

The Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ comed equipped with a 70.5kWh battery pack that powers the front-axle-mounted electric motor, belting out 190PS and 385Nm. This enables the EV to complete the century sprint in just 8.6 seconds.

Mercedes claims the EQA can achieve a range of up to 560 kilometres on a single charge.

Speaking of the charging, the EQA supports a 100kW DC fast charger that can juice it up from 10 to 80% in just 35 minutes.

Design and Dimensions

The Mercedes-Benz EQA features a sleek, modern design with a raised ride height typical of SUVs. It gets smoke-finished LED headlamps with an LED light bar on top of the huge black panel grille. Towards the rear, you can see the illuminated 3D connecting taillamps and an integrated spoiler.

Against the measuring tape, the EQA measures 4465mm in length, 1834mm in width, and 1624mm in height. It boasts a wheelbase of 2729mm and a boot space of 340 litres.

Mercedes is offering the EQA in six single-tone body shades: Polar White, Night Black, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, High-tech Silver, and Spectral Blue; and two Manufactur paint schemes: Patagonia Red Metallic and Mountain Grey Magno.

The EQA features the same dashboard layout as the GLA; save for a new Rose Gold and Titanium Grey Pearl-themed interior scheme, along with illuminated stars on the dashboard and copper-finished illuminated AC vents. Mercedes has also covered its seats in eco-friendly PET material.

Competition Check

Being the most affordable EV from Mercedes-Benz, the EQA will lock horns with the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6 and BMW iX1.
