Toyota Taisor To Launch On This Date – Maruti Fronx-based Crossover

The Toyota Taisor, essentially the Maruti Suzuki Fronx-based compact cross SUV, now finally has a launch date. Toyota has confirmed that it will be launched on April 4, 2024.

Toyota Taisor – What To Expect

  • Similar to other Toyota-Maruti shared models, the Taisor will also come with the same powertrain options and features as the Fronx but with a few styling tweaks to differentiate it from its Suzuki counterpart.
  • The Taisor is anticipated to boast a grille reminiscent of the Toyota Hyryder, comprising split LED DRLs with chrome elements and a faux carbon fibre finish. Furthermore, the front bumper is expected to have an angular profile with a sportier air dam and faux skid plate. The main headlamp unit will be positioned on the bumper. It could also feature a unique alloy design and new pain options from its Maruti counterpart.

  • Except for a different colour scheme, we do not expect any other changes inside the cabin.
  • Underneath the hood, the Toyota Taisor will get the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (90PS/113Nm), paired with manual and AMT, and a 1-litre turbocharged petrol (100PS/148NM) with manual and torque converter automatic transmission options. It is also likely to receive a factory-fitted CNG option with the 1.2-litre unit.

  • In terms of features, the Taisor will pack everything that you available on the Fronx. The highlights include: –
    • LED lighting system
    • 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment
    • Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto
    • Connected car tech
    • Heads-up display
    • Cruise control
    • Auto AC
    • Rear AC vents
    • Height-adjustable driver’s seat
    • Auto-dimming IRVM
    • Six airbags
    • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
    • Hill hold assist
    • 360-degree camera
    • ISOFIX child seat anchors
  • Expect Taisor to command a slight premium over the Maruti Fronx. For reference, the Fronx is currently priced between Rs 7.51 – 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Toyota may also offer the Taisor a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometres (whichever comes earlier). In contrast, the Fronx only gets a 2-year/40,000 km warranty.
