Mahindra XUV300 Bookings Stopped, Facelift Coming Soon

With the facelift update on the horizon, Mahindra has stopped accepting bookings for the existing version of the XUV300 sub-4m SUV, confirmed by Mahindra’s CEO during an investor meeting. The resumption of bookings will coincide with the launch of the XUV300 facelift in the coming weeks.

Select Dealers Still Accepting Bookings

Although Mahindra has officially ceased new bookings for the XUV300, select dealerships are still accepting orders for existing inventory. Mahindra has also announced a reduction in XUV300 production over the next few months to fulfil pending orders. However, production is expected to stop entirely as the carmaker prepares to introduce the facelifted XUV300 in the near future.

According to spy shots, the XUV300 is set to undergo some significant design revisions, particularly to its exterior. The compact SUV is likely to draw inspiration from the brand’s upcoming BE lineup of electric SUVs, featuring an angular front facia with a split grille configuration and large air intake. Additionally, it will showcase new drop-down LED DRLs, refreshed LED headlamps, updated bumpers at both ends, redesigned C-shaped LED taillights with a width-spanning LED light bar, and new alloy wheels.

Inside, the facelifted SUV is anticipated to feature a slightly revamped dashboard layout with a new Adrenox-powered 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage. It could also receive the segment’s first panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, digital driver’s display and wireless smartphone charger.

For safety, it will get six airbags, ESC, hill hold & descent assist, traction control, tyre pressure monitor, and rear parking camera.

Powertrain

The forthcoming 2024 Mahindra XUV300 is predicted to maintain its current lineup of engines, comprising the 110PS and 131PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engines, along with the 117PS 1.5-litre diesel unit. Reports suggest that the 131PS variant could receive a new Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox option, whereas the other two motors will retain the existing manual and AMT units.
