Tata Curvv Diesel Revealed In Pre-Production Avatar

Tata Motors has revealed a near-production version of the ICE-powered Curvv SUV coupe. It made its first appearance at the 2023 Auto Expo. However, this time, the Indian marque has also provided information about the diesel engine set to propel the forthcoming SUV. It is expected to be launched later this year.

Tata Curvv Diesel Confirmed

The ICE-powered Tata Curvv will be equipped with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 113PS at 3750rpm and 260Nm at 1500-2750rpm. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Curvv is also expected to get a new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine (122PS/225Nm), paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additionally, it will also receive an all-electric powertrain.

Design and Dimensions

Against the measuring tape, the Curvv will be 4308mm in length, 1810mm in width and 1630mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2560mm. Regarding design, it will be based on Tata’s latest design philosophy, bearing a vivid likeness to those seen on the Harrier and Safari facelifts. The vehicle will showcase a tall bumper complemented by a wide air dam, featuring an LED light bar reminiscent of the Harrier facelift, with headlamps positioned on the front bumper.

Embracing a coupe-like silhouette, the Tata Curvv boasts flush-fitting door handles and flared wheel arches adorned with black cladding throughout. The rear design draws parallels to the updated Harrier, sporting a continuous LED light strip and a raked rear windshield. Loaded with premium features, the SUV will include 18-inch wheels, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and even an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.
