MG Hector, Hector Plus Prices Increased By Up To Rs 30,000

Back in September 2023, MG Motor India reduced the prices of the Hector and Hector Plus to capitalize on the festive season. The carmaker has now once again revised the prices, making it up to Rs 30,000 more expensive. But still, both SUVs remain more affordable than the prices before the reduction in September.

  • The price hike for MG Hector ranges from Rs 19,000 to Rs 30,000, depending on the variant. With this, it now costs between Rs 15 – 21.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Save for the diesel-powered Smart trim, prices of all the variants of the MG Hector Plus have increased uniformly by Rs 30,000. With this, the MG Hector Plus now retails between Rs 14.73 lakh and Rs 22.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine Options

MG offers both Hector and Hector Plus with two engine options: 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (143PS/250Nm), mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic, and a 2-litre turbo-diesel (170PS/350Nm), paired with a 6-speed manual transmission only.

Competition

In the mid-size SUV segment, the MG Hector locks horn with the Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, 5-seater Mahindra XUV700 and higher variants of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder. On the other hand, the MG Hector Plus takes on the likes of Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and 7-seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700.
