Mahindra XUV700 6-Seater Launching Soon; Details Leaked

News about the Mahindra XUV700’s 6 seater variant with caption seats has been circulating for a while. Now, leaked images of its user manual have approved its impending arrival.

  • Currently, Mahindra offers the XUV700 in two seat configurations: 5-seater and 7-seater. The upcoming 6 seater version of the XUV700 will feature two caption seats in the middle row with slide & recline functions.
  • The leaked images also confirm the arrival of the electrochromic internal rear-view mirror (auto-dimming IRVM).
  • Reports suggest that the ventilated front seats could also be on the cards.

Waiting Period of Up To 7 Months

Since its debut in August 2021, the Mahindra XUV700 has remained high in demand. In fact, the demand is so high that potential buyers still have to wait for over 25 weeks to get their hands on it.

Powertrain

Mahindra offers the XUV700 in both petrol and diesel guise. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine produces 200PS of max power and 380Nm of peak torque, whereas its 2.2-litre diesel mill generates up to 185PS/450Nm.

Both engines can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Price and Rivals

Currently, the Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 14.03 – 26.57 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up against the MG Hector, Hector Plus, Tata Harrier, Safari, Hyundai Creta, Alcazar, and Jeep Compass.
