Hyundai Creta’s SX Executive Variant To Be Discontinued Soon

Hyundai Motor India is expected to make some changes to the variant lineup of the Creta mid-size SUV. The carmaker is rumoured to axe the SX Executive variant from its lineup. It could also lose the Mulberry Red exterior colour scheme.

Positioned between the S and SX variants, the Hyundai Creta SX Executive trim was launched in June 2021. It comes with both the 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options, priced at Rs 13,99,500 and Rs 15,43,300 (ex-showroom). It only comes with the 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Creta Interior

In terms of features, the Hyundai Creta SX Executive variant shares lots of features with the most popular SX trim. Key highlights include the trio beam LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, integrated silver-coloured roof rails, panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, wireless smartphone charger, puddle lights, automatic AC, cruise control, ambient lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management control, hill start assist and much more.

New Turbo-Petrol Engine Incoming

Aside from variant rejig, Hyundai is also expected to introduce the Alcazar’s 1.5-litre TGDi turbocharged petrol engine in the replacement for the Creta’s now-discontinued 1.4-litre turbo petrol mill. This new engine dishes out the maximum output of 160PS and 253Nm, making it 20PS more powerful and 11Nm more torque than the outgoing 1.4-litre motor.

We also expect Hyundai to introduce new colourways for the Creta.
