Hyundai Announces The Prices Of Alcazar 1.5-litre Turbo-Petrol Variants

Hyundai Motors has announced the prices of the new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol variants of the Alcazar. This new engine option will be offered with the SUV’s Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O) and Signature (O) variants. Here’s a look at their prices: –

  • As mentioned above, the new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol variants of the Alcazar are up to Rs 65,000 more expensive than the now-discontinued 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol variants.
  • This new engine makes out 160PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 253Nm of peak torque between 1,500-3,500 rpm. It is E20 and BS6 Phase-II emission norms compliant. The brand has offered it with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions (DCT).
  • It is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 17.5kmpl with manual and 18kmpl with the DCT transmission.
  • Besides this new TGDi gasoline mill, Hyundai continues to offer the Alcazar with a 1.5-litre diesel engine. This engine has also been updated to meet the new BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. 
  • Both these engine options feature an Idle engine start/stop system for optimum fuel efficiency.
  • Bookings for the new variants are already underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

Cosmetic Changes

Apart from the new petrol engine, the three-row SUV also receives redesigned front grill and new puddle lamps that will now project the ‘Alcazar’ lettering on the surface.

The feature list of the car remains unaltered. It continues to pack features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen system with connected car technology, Apple Carplay and Android Auto smartphone integration support, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, wireless smartphone chargers, cruise control, powered driver’s seat, and much more. Its safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-wheel disc brakes, hill hold assist, and a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor.

In the mid-size SUV segment, the Hyundai Alcazar rivals the likes of the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.
