Hyundai Alcazar Gets A New Turbo-Petrol Engine, Bookings Open

Soon after updating its SUV lineup with RDE emission norms and more safety features, Hyundai Motors India has now introduced a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine for the Alcazar SUV, along with some minor visual changes. Interested customers can now book the updated three-row offering for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Its prices are yet to be revealed.

Hyundai has introduced this new 1.5-litre TGDi turbocharged petrol engine in place of the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It makes 160 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 253 Nm of peak torque between 1,500-3,500 rpm, and comes paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This new mill is not only torquier than the now discontinued 2.0-litre engine but also offers better fuel efficiency.
