This Is Tata’s Answer To Hyundai i20 N Line

Foraying into the performance segment, Tata Motors has unveiled the Altroz Racer Edition at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023, which is essentially a sportier version of the premium hatch with a more powerful engine and tons of cosmetic tweaks. Once launched, it will go up against the Hyundai i20 N Line.

Tata Altroz Racer Edition – What’s Special?

A More Powerful Engine

The biggest change from the standard model is underneath the bonnet. Having said that, the Altroz Racer gets Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 120PS of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque, that’s 10PS and 30Nm more from the Altroz iTubo model. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT unit. However, unlike the Hyundai i20 N Line, the brand hasn’t made any revisions to its suspension, braking and handling setup.

  • Dual-tone paint scheme with the ORVMs, hood and roof finished in piano black shade.
  • White stripes on the roof and hood
  • Blacked-out alloy wheels
  • All-black cabin theme with sporty red highlights
  • Revised upholstery with ‘RACER’ insignia on the front seats’ headrests.
